Arunachal Pradesh is the largest state area-wise in the north-eastern region. Administratively the state is divided into 17 districts. The Arunachal Pradesh State Centre of National Informatics Centre is located atCivil Secretariat, Block 4, 3rd Floor, Itanagar, the State capital. NIC, districts centres are located in the district headquarters of 16 districts. The Capital district has two district centres located at Itanagar and Yupia respectively. The district centre at Londing district is yet to be established. The process for set-up of the centre at Longding has been initiated.
Since the establishment of NIC, Arunachal Pradesh State Centre at Itanagar, in the month of November, 1988, it has played a key role in ushering in ICT based culture in the functioning of the state government.
NIC, Arunachal Pradesh State Centre has been instrumental in the conceptualization, design and development of many ICT based application for the state government as well as in the capacity building of the government manpower. Infrastructure of NIC in Arunachal Pradesh State Centre
The infrastructure of State Centre is upgraded from time-to-time to cater to the ICT needs of the state government. The present infrastructure is as follows:
|Connectivity||Internet connectivity through 45 MBPS Leased Line provided by BSNL. Internet connectivity through NKN POP with primary PGCIL link as 2.5 Gbps and secondary BSNL link as 10 GBPS.|

|Printers||Multi Function Printer, Colour Laser Printer, Scanner.|
|Server||NIC Data Centre with Rack server, Blader servers, SAN storage, Tape backup library.|
